Abstract
Effects of TiO2 additions on the crystallization behavior of a glass with a composition of 50.0wt% Ca), MgO, 2SiO2-40wt% 3CaO, P2O5-10wt% MgO, TiO2 system were investigated by ovserving the microstructure of the crystallized products.
@ES The results obtained are summarized as follows;
@EN 1. The major crystalline phases are indentified by X-ray diffraction as apatite (Ca10P6O25), wollastonite (CaSiO3), whitlockite [¥â-Ca3(PO4)2], MgTiO3 and diopside[CaMg(SiO3)2].
2. The glass transition temperature (Tg) and the softening point (Ts) are shifted to the lower temperature by increasing of TiO2 content.
3. The apatite and MgTiO3 crystallization are increased by increasing of TiO2 content.
4. The exothermic crystallization peak of MgTiO3 apper in the sample which contained more than 15.6wt% of TiO2.
